Great enthusiasm at the "Made in Germany-Africa" trade fair event in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia
The DAAD was one of 54 exhibitors at the Made in Germany fair. Other German companies leading in infrastructure, clean cities, building systems, environmental solutions, digitalization, and the manufacturing of machines in Ethiopia also participated. Around 90% of the 1,500 total guests were from Ethiopia.
Even though higher education was not the focus of the fair, more than a hundred visitors visited the DAAD IP Addis Ababa booth and informed themselves about study opportunities in Germany. The IP team was able to give accurate information and distribute brochures and other DAAD materials.

One thing was very evident at the conclusion of the fair: everyone was eagerly anticipating the next one. The dates for next year’s event, “Made in Germany – Africa,” are already set: March 14-16, 2024 at the Skylight Hotel in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
