The DAAD wants to stay in contact with its scholars and alumni even after the scholarship is over. For this reason, the Director of the DAAD Regional Office for Africa Mrs. Beate Schindler-Kovats, took time during her visit to Daystar University for an informal meeting with DAAD scholarship holders and Daystar University alumni. She presented the DAAD’s work for alumni and provided information on funding opportunities for DAAD alumni.

The scholars and alumni also got an opportunity to ask questions and to interact with her, a rich exchange which gave both parties an opportunity to exchange ideas.

Mrs. Schindler-Kovats shared, in detail; how to stay informed, how to get involved in networks, how to receive individual funding and finally, how to pass on and give back.

Among the highlights of the opportunities presented by Mrs. Schindler-Kovats was the availability of funding for small alumni activities such as workshops, conferences and seminars whose deadline passed not so long ago.
