DAAD invites universities and higher education institutions in Sub-Saharan Africa to apply as host institutions within the DAAD In-Country / In-Region Scholarship Programme. As a host institution with a quota of DAAD scholarships, you can support young African Master and PhD students, sharpen your research profile and benefit from financial stability. Furthermore, DAAD funding as a “mark of excellence” will help you to enhance your reputation as an institution.

RISE worldwide is starting the next round! For summer 2025 RISE Worldwide is asking for internship offers giving German undergraduate students the possibility to intern worldwide.

Research groups, laboratories and doctoral students from all over the world can apply to host a Bachelor student from a German university as a research intern to assist with a proposed project.

Students participating in this program come from the fields of biology, chemistry, physics, earth sciences, engineering, computer science, medicine, or a closely related field, and receive a DAAD scholarship to help cover living expenses and travel costs.
