DAAD Showcases Opportunities at Women in STEM Africa Summit 2026 in Nairobi
The event included intriguing exchanges on women’s leadership in the innovation economy of Africa, inclusive innovation ecosystems, engineering and manufacturing, artificial intelligence and digital transformation, mentorship and possibilities for women and girls in STEM. Key speeches were delivered by, among others, Dr Beatrice Muganda Inyangala, Principal Secretary, State Department for Higher Education and Dr. Julius Ogamba, Cabinet Secretary for Education.
The DAAD shared information on international academic exchange, as well as study and research opportunities in Germany. One of the key highlights was the new STEM Programme, whose deadline is 30th September 2026. You can read more about the call here.
The DAAD’s involvement also provided a key platform to engage with students, entrepreneurs and professionals looking to establish international education networks and seek possibilities for academic and research collaboration.
