Strengthening Partnerships: Highlights from the DAAD Regional Office Nairobi Breakfast Meeting
As guests arrived, long-lost comrades, acquaintances, and colleagues reconnected, filling the corridors and meeting space with warmth, enthusiasm, and rich conversations. After breakfast, the host of the event, Dr. Dorothee Weyler, Director of the DAAD Regional Office Nairobi, delivered her welcome remarks. She emphasized the importance of collaboration and open dialogue, acknowledged all those present, and shared valuable insights into the year’s achievements as well as expectations for 2026.
The Deputy Ambassador to the EU Delegation, Mr. Ondrej Simek, also addressed the gathering, informing attendees about the upcoming 50-year EU–Kenya partnership celebration. He encouraged participants to take part in the events that will be organized to commemorate this milestone.
A key highlight of the breakfast was the networking session. Over a sumptuous American–African fusion breakfast, attendees exchanged ideas, forged new connections, and engaged in open interactions at both professional and personal levels.
The goal of the breakfast was achieved beyond expectations: it strengthened relationships, inspired collaboration, and generated renewed interest in future activities and events organized by the DAAD.
