Uganda Alumni hosts workshop on mastering systemic reviews for SDGs in Jinja, Uganda
Systematic reviews are a type of research methodology that synthesizes existing evidence on a specific research question. Systematic reviews comprehensively identify, evaluate and summarize all relevant studies systematically minimizing bias and enhancing reliability of the findings. They generally review original studies as subjects or as the main source of data.
Participants were organized into four primary categories: Humanities, Health (covering both human and animal health), Agriculture and Environment, and Pure Natural Sciences. Each group worked collaboratively to develop systematic reviews as a key outcome of the training. By the end of the workshop, all groups successfully registered their protocols, with a commitment to complete their systematic reviews post-training.

Feedback from participants indicated that the workshop was timely and well-organized. We extend our gratitude to DAAD for fully sponsoring the workshop through DAAD-Nairobi, as well as to the AUGA leadership for their efforts in organizing this event. A special thank you goes to all workshop participants for their active engagement and commitment throughout the training.
