DAAD Conducts Successful Second Proposal Writing Workshop at Masinde Muliro University

The workshop was facilitated by a number of DAAD alumni, whose outstanding contributions were essential to its success. We are grateful to Dr. Mohamed Mraja of Bomet University College, Prof. Fredrick Nyamwala of Moi University, and Prof. Florence Indede of Maseno University. We are also grateful to Dr. Francis Orata, who oversaw its coordination as head of MMUST’s DRPS (Directorate of Research and Postgraduate Support).

The facilitators gave the participants an introduction of the German research environment, talked about the ethics of writing research proposals, showed them how to use online resources effectively, and walked them through the process of applying for a PhD fellowship from the DAAD.
A Proposal Writing Workshop offers essential insights during the application process, even if it is not mandatory when applying for a PhD grant.
The German PhD Scholarship application date is September 30, 2025. Please click here for further information.
We wish you all the best as you apply!
